Sorry to repost but I really need to know...
One of my POS terminals already has an Epson TM-88II connected via the parallel port. Can I add a non-micros branded epson TM-88III via the open serial port on the same terminal? To my understanding the only port thst is "propritary" to micros is the LCC port so they can use their da*n IDN daisy chain of printers which sucks but is also perfect for my needs(Too expensive though).
My whole goal is to set up a remote TM-88III w/o going overboard in price. I saw mention on the forums of guys making rs232 to rj45 adapters in order to create remote printers and utilize the existing CAT5 wiring. They did not mention, however, what POS they were using.
I am new to this so I am sorry if this attempt to save dollars is a futile and worn route with no solution. Again I am sorry to keep bugging you guys but I really need help asap.
