I am new and learning the system, how do i change the name on the menu that displayed on the menu screen for ex the key says SPCL Drinks and i need to change it to cocktails
This is the key you press to display all the items in the cocktail SLU, right?
In the configurator go to the Devices tab, Touchscreen Designer button. There will be a dropdown on the top-left to select the screen you want to edit; select your bar screen.
Click the SPCL Drinks button to select it. Now change the text in the Legend box on the bottom-left to Cocktail. Click the green check to save; partial changes in the touchscreen designer could mess up operations so it doesn't auto-save.
many thx as it worked, one more question..micros condiment...i am lost as it seems very confusing....i need to add an item to a current group of condiment, i looked around but what is the best way to understand, how to i find or add condiment......best regards
You just have to set the new item's Condiment Membership. The easiest thing to do is find another item that's already in that condiment group and copy the settings.
I'd say the two most confusing concepts in Micros are condiments and levels. You should definately get yourself a test installation going if you haven't already. Since you're staying in demo mode there's no licensing involved. Just load it up and restore a database backup. This way you can learn how certain changes will effect the system without messing up the restaurant.
it worked I cc ...your are great ...one last question ...the display screen size for the items when they order, how do I increase as they can see what they ordered similar to aloha it use to open a ck size on the left,,,,regards
I'm not quite sure what you're looking to do. Are you talking about displaying the check detail on the left of the screen while ringing in orders?
This is where that test system will become crucial. You'll have to play around with the different touchscreen templates to find one that meets your needs, then reorganize the buttons in touchscreen designer. Not something you want to do on a live system until you've tested out the new setup.
