micros Simphony v2 Demo

Hi Does anyone know where or how i would be able to aquire a micros simphony install file? I'm looking to familiarize myself with Simphony (we are upgrading from 9700) and i need to ensure that all of the custom work I've done on the 9700 database and ISL scripts will be compatible with the new version. I called micros directly but they want to see a large amount of money first. (i'm fine working with a demo version)

Thank You! Is the method of putting it in demo mode the same as 9700? (Putting in 8700demo as the codes)

No, the licensing is different, way different. You will find out soon that 9700 and Simphony v2 are night and day. There are a few things that are the same, but not much, at least what I have come across. I've started doing the same thing you are doing as well, and I am glad I did.

I made a video of the installation (both Blank Database and Sample database), I plan on uploading them soon (to youtube), hopefully today or tomorrow. I would suggest getting the following docs and reading through them first, and then install. I am currently only running a Single Win 2008 R2 64 bit server with 3 drives (OS, Micros Application Data and the Database on the last one).

Awesome! Have it installed, but i couldn't find a "WinStation" to install on the server. Do i have to download another component from oracle?

I haven't installed a client yet, but from what I can tell you have to create a package to deploy it.
