Hello, I read the thread about the MAL keyless licensing and our corp name will work in the header for our locations, but we are looking to virtualize our EM server, and it is not activating that system. Does anyone know if there is a different method to getting that licensed?
If not, does anyone have a recommendation for a hardware/software solution to allow us to have a virtual server that can connect to a USB port for the key?

USB and virtual devices can be tricky
If you are using Hyper V it will not work as you are not able to share usb devices in Hyper v
If you switch to VMware you would be able to extend the usb device. No guarantee this will work either as you need to know the name of the USB device to share to the Virtual machine. Sadly Hasps don't always show up as devices you can share. Good luck

AlohaRoss

Thanks for the information, do you know of any hardware or software that can reliably pass the USB key over Ethernet into the Hyper-V environment for validation of the MICROS software?
