Hi all,

i need to recovery some tables on a micros db.

My issue is that i have local copy of micros res 3700 v5 and sybase 11, the db cames from a sybase 9.

How can i open the backup file of micros db and run queries ?

It depends on the version of RES that your Sybase 9 database was using.
You can run DM -U <path/name of backup file> if it's any of the following versions:
Res 4.8 MR4 or higher
Res 4.9 MR 1 or higher
Res 4.10
Res 4.11
Res 4.12

If it's any other Res 4 version you have to run PreConvertRes4XTO50.mcs before running DM -U on it. That file is in the Support folder on the Res5 installation CD.

If you have the Res5 installation doc this is all on pages 36-38
