Micros Res 5.2 on Windows 10?

Is anyone successfully running RES 5.2 on a Windows 10 machine? 5.2 runs fine on Windows 7 and then when I upgrade to 10, every time I try to launch the Micros Control Panel, a Windows Installer windows pops up and just sits there. Nothing happens after that.

res 5.2 is not supported in windows 10.. res 5.6 and up is supported. even if you somehow manage to install 5.2 a lot of the res services will fail to start.

5.5 is also working on win10 and server 2016 but nevertheless update because of the global date bug in autosequence update everything to 5.7.5.1
5.7.6.0 has some changes in transport with ssl certificate and does not work with 20+Workstations or the mdshttp bug was once again implemented.

Do you think there will be a fix for the global date bug for earlier versions before time runs out?

I am using RES VERSION 5.1.0004.0938 and am managed to install CAL on Windows 10 version 1909.

My solution is to edit the setup.dat, by notepad++, in C:\MICROS\Res\CAL\Win32\Packages\Win32RES on the POS Server. I attached my version for your reference and you can look into it and edit your file in a similar way.

Of course, you need to back up everything before any change and I am not responsible for any damage on your server.
