I have a bit of a head scratchier here.

Occasionally we see orders in the terminal that are a mashup of a walk in order and n order being injected by Transact Services.
When I look in the 3700D and trace out the transact services the order looks 100% correct. Same with when I look at the journal for that check number. Both orders will have the same check#

Has anyone seen this before? Is there a setting that will prevent the term and the API from using the same check number?

If the transactions are by revenue like i have them restaurant & carry out then try the following

Log in to Posconfig then go to revenue center-> rvc transactions -> check/receipts -> change the starting check and ending check so they are in different ranges.

like

restaurant starting check 1 ending 7000
carry out starting check 7001 ending 9999

I made those changes and i have seen some improvements.

The other option will be to ask whoever built the API to randomize the transaction number by adding 10+ to the next available transaction but i was told by my vendor that it will cost money to research and implement this type of change and they were not sure if this was possible so i never went that route
