Micros RES 3700 POS API - Checks closing upon tendering/payment

Hi,

We have an integration to RES 3700 that applies tenders to a check and the POS/API always closes the check automatically upon making the payment and the balance becoming zero.

Is there a way in either the API call, or in the POS/API settings to simply apply the tender and keep the check open?

Check will close if balance reaches zero after applying payment.

Is there any way to stop this behavior?

We would like the check to stay open so that the waitstaff can see it's been paid and close on their own time.

I don't think that's possible. It's by design.
