I am having issues where servers are running successful Authorizations of transactions on a terminal but leaving them open after printout of receipt for customer to sign. They may go to another terminal to close the transaction with tip amount only to find that no authorization is available.
Question: any way to retrieve previous authorization or did it never get recorded?
If no record would exist even though receipt printout exists can I alter process so ticket is closed immediately after authorization is granted so transaction is completed? This would cause servers to re-open tickets but reduce lost transactions.
