Hi there,
only my second post here. I always appreciate the help. Our company was audited a few years back and when they asked us to provide them sales data for the last few years we were surprised to learn that our micros database only went back 365 days. We were surprised because everyday when the sales report prints it has a running total of gross income from the day we started using the system back in 2005.
Is there a way for a simpleton like myself to have the computer save the sales & database on a daily or weekly or monthly basis, so that i can keep years worth of sales instead of only 365 days.
I have had this set up before with an external hard drive plugged in ( micros had set it up at one point). I would like to do something similar where the thumb drive or external hard drive is plugged into the micros database computer and saves the information i need on a regular basis.
again, any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.
