micros ops.exe - can't see mouse pointer 2

This has happened to me on multiple VMs running Micros. Eventually, the mouse becomes hidden, but ONLY when it's over the ops application. As soon as I move it off that window I can see it again. The worst part is it's stuck like that, even after rebooting. I can no longer see the mouse pointer.

Has anyone seen this behavior before?

Go into POS Configurator, go to the system tab, and open restaurant. In the options tab of restaurant there is a check box that says "show cursor in ops". Its a registry key so it won't restore with the database when loaded into a VM.
