Micros KDS 1

I'm back..

So, when we had Micros installed, I remember the salesman telling the owner that it would be possible, on the KDS, to select portions of checks and mark them as sent/done. (ie, a check has one APP and two ENTREES, the expo user would be able to select the app item and mark it as sent.)

What we got was a system that is all or nothing, either the check's done or it's not. Was the salesman lying, or is there a way to configure the KDS to allow the expo/cook users to split checks into components?

What version / service pack are you running? Features get introduced from some point and are then available

Here's what we've got:

Its fairly easy. You need to set up dining courses. The server would then modify the appys with the dining course. When this prints to the kds only the appetizers will show. When the appetizers are bumped off the screen then the entrees will show. We have had is set-up this way since KDS came out. Hope this helps.
