I have been converting a micros terminal to work as a fourth terminal for a existing installation of a "rpower pos 5.2"
So far I have the software installed and have the printer and the Mag-Reader working. The last hurdle is the cash drawer.
The cash drawer uses the micros direct cash drawer interface "4 pin round connector"
As far as I can tell this does not work as a serial port so I don't think I can configure it directly, however rpower pos does support opos. From what I have gathered from searching the archives it seems I need a opos driver for the drawer. Anybody have any ideas how to get this or maybe, another ingenious solution, it would be of great help

If RPower can use the printers cash drawer port, (on Epson it's labeled DK for draw kick), you may be able to replace the 4-pin Din connector and cable with a new cable that has a 6-pin RJ12 connector that would plug into the printer. Sorry I can not provide the pin outs but there are only 4 wires involved. Maybe the cash drawer Mfg can assist?

This approach may be a better solution then trying to use the Micros cash drawer port (which may, just may, only work with Micros software)
