Could desperatley use the help please! Thank you so much.

We recently upgraded Micros and found a thing we need to fix.
On our old Micros system you would have say 2 bud lights and 2 shots of whiskey on a tab and you wanted to comp it.

It would basically require you to comp the whiskey as liquor comp and the bud lights as beer comp.
However for some unknown reason right now any comp/spill button will comp the entire total.
It should not be allowing me to liquor comp bud lights, that would be a beer comp.
I have been over the old system vs new system many times to try and see what "option" was not clicked etc but I have no idea and spent WEEKs on this before asking for help.

Any help would be SO SO SO AMAZING.

POSCONFIG, Discounts, Itemizers
POSCONFIG, Sales, Menu Item Classes, Discount Itemizer

Use these to choose what discount applies to what menu item class.

Example Bud Lite would be Bottled Beer. Set Bottled Beer Class To Itemizer 2. In the discounts, Itemizers, Toggle Itemizer 2 to turn "on " and "off the discount

Something we have been waiting to get fixed forever you fix in 5 minutes. WildBar I can't thank you enough. You ever come down to Texas you let me know will take care of you!

I do have another question if you know how to change? Under our Daily Sales Report our old system would show the liquor comps, spills, employee discounts daily on that print out. The new system doesn't show those items and just shows other stuff we don't need for daily print outs? Any idea?

If not, you have helped amazingly enough, thanks so much.

POSCONFIG, Reporting, Tracking Groups
You should see at least two tracking groups.
The system tracking group totals is what your reports are pulling the info from.....if you look at the right and scroll through them.
The standard Micros sales reports pulls the first 14 Tracking Group Totals into column 1, the next 14 (15 to 28) in column 2 and 29 to 42 make up column three.
You either need to change these to match how you want your reports laid out or make custom reports.
Once something gets rung in these tracking groups get locked.
When you are not open and nobody will be touching your workstations you can make these changes.
Open dbisql (Start, run dbisql
Login Support, Support
Execute
"update micros.trk_grp_def
set ob_grp_in_use = 'f'"
This will unlock your tracking groups.
Update your tracking groups as needed.
All your reporting will change...be aware.
Once something gets rung in your tracking groups will lock again.
The typical setup is sales in column one, discounts in 2, and tenders in 3. but up to you.
You can also make a new tracking group and then attach your historical totals to it if you want.
Hope this helps.

I should note if you have access to your old system and you like that format just set up the tracking groups the same on your new system.
