I've got a Micros RES v4.8 system, using Heartland to process credit cards. I'm going to use this on a different restaurant within the same company, so I've copied in a new micros.db file. When I try to authorize a card, I get an error reading "Timeout Awaiting Response."

In POS Configurator, I've copied the values from CA/EDC Drivers, as well as updated the Tender/Media->Credit Auth driver selections. Is there anything else I need to change?

Thanks!

First, even if you're just going to be posting to the same accounts, you really should let Heartland know. They might require a different terminal ID for a different location.

Either way, you don't have the driver installed, or at least that is the most likely reason. The Heartland driver is a third-party piece of software and not integrated into Micros, so you have to install their software.

Thanks for the reply. Before posting this thread, I filed the necessary paperwork with Heartland and reinstalled the driver. Any other ideas?

Thanks!

Dumb ?'s - does your BOH Micros computer have a solid/working internet connection? Does this new BOH Micros computer have it's own software key?

TobeThor, yes and yes. I can successfully ping the authorization URL:portnumber.

Looks like the problem was on Heartland's end. They've got it fixed now. Thanks for the help!
