Micros End of Day Batches not settling

I have a Micros 3700 system and recently it has stopped automatically creating and settling batches at the predetermined "End of Day" time.

Everything looks right in Autoseq settings (compared to unit at another location).

The command calls for the launch of settle.exe - b. If I manually go to a dos prompt and enter this, I receive the following error

Error [-10] [ERROR_TRN_FILE_OPEN] then more text about caedctext issues.

Has anyone else seen or experienced this issue? I can manually launch the credit card module and create/settle batches - it's just the automated end of day function isn't working.

Thanks for any support you all can offer!

Just a few thoughts:

That error sounds like the settlement is trying to access a file that another program has open. If you haven't already, try rebooting.

Check out the 3700d log and see if there's anything in there. Try turning up the CA/EDC reporting level in the control panel beforehand too.

Some of the older systems and CC drivers accessed encrypted text files during CC procedures. These sometimes get corrupted and you have to reload either the drivers or the 3700 service pack.
