Hi all,

I'm currently working on a customers site that has 3 WS5. The have 3 IDN printers(2 Epson t88 and 1 Epson u200) and one serial Epson t88. The customer has requested to have two additional thermal printers added. Based on the available ports I purchased 2 serial t-88 of the same model.

I configured the dip switch settings to match the existing thermal that was already attached. Both printers are connected to the Com5 port via a null modem cable (db9f to db25m) I also got with Epsons tech support to help change the printer into serial mode only instead of serial or usb mode. I copied the settings used for the existing serial thermal printer for the devices settings etc.

My issue is that when trying to print a local check, the system says that the printer offline and asks if i wanted to retry or abort. In addition, the check does not send to the back up printer which was confirmed as working. I have confirmed that the two new printers are working as have swapped them around with the workstation with the existing serial t88.

What could I be missing on the programming side? Do i need to enable the com5 ports to be active on the other workstations? Does E7 have licensing restrictions on printing and order devices? Any help is much appreciated.
