I had to change a Routher and some how I might have changed the settings as the speed has decreased when a card is swiped for authorization, I am using micros 3700 and VZ DSL. Any suggestions
I don't think this would be a Micros issue. See what download/upload speeds you are getting (SpeedTest.net)
Might need to contact your internet provider. Might be something like registering your router to your ip address if using static.
If you can, check the logs from the CCs to see if they are going to dial up during certain times and also check the logs to see the amount of time from sent to received. A CC transaction is a relatively small amount of data and shouldn't take longer that 1-3 seconds.
Check your DNS settings. I recommend using a few different DNS servers.
Hello ....I just installed a new high speed cable line an its 1G but the credit card is still taking longer to get the authorization, is there a setting in the micros that i can change to increase the speed, this is on a static line ...mant thanks and thanks for the assistance
As hosehead78 points out if you are using a high speed connection there should be nothing on the Micros end to adjust. Did you do speedtest.net on the server and verify your internet speed? My only thought was there may be an old dial up driver that's getting called first. You can usually see what drivers you are using in "POSCOnfig" "Devices" "Ca/EDC Driver"
Not knowing your credit card drivers or how your credit cards are setup I wouldn't suggest making any changes yourself. Again Hosehead has strong advice in talking to your credit card processor or the help desk of the driver you are using.
I tried to call Micros not now they connect you to philipnes call center, it's been a week and I have made 2 calls but they still haven't call me, Freind of mine recommended another system TouchBistro seems simple and reasonable. Any suggestions or feedback greatly appreciated.....
Yes the nos is now Routhed to a philipnes call center n they just give u a run around as some one will call you but still waiting for a call. Good thing is I know the system well so can live with it but if it goes does than will have a problem as now it's owned by ORACLE ....any suggestions on a reasonable easy simple system. Regards.
Any particular features that you need?
POSitouch, NCC, Dinerware, Digital Dining, Maitre'D. Check what your neighbors have if you want local on site service.
hello... I tested the new cable modem speed and it says 43.17mbps download and 0.44 mbps upload , can that be the reason for slow processing as any suggestions greatly appreciated .....
