Hi,

Is anyone aware if I can set the Micros database to Off in the Micros Control panel via external application or command line?

I have an application I need to run that will require the database be in an Off state and then return to Restaurant state upon completion.

you're looking for clcontrol

clcontrol /SYSTEM IDLE - brings control panel to Off
clcontrol /SYSTEM DB - brings control panel to Database
clcontrol /SYSTEM BOH - brings control panel to Back Of House
clcontrol /SYSTEM FOH - brings control panel to Front Of House

If you're on a 64 bit system you have to run it from SysWOW

Very nice pmegan, thanks so much.

Are you aware of any way to check the state? For example, I would like to send a command to set database to Off, check or wait for the system to reach the Off state and then proceed to the next step in my application.

There are return codes to get the state of the system. Run clcontrol /? and you'll get the help file that has them listed.
