Hi, I have a Micros 3700 back office PC that for some reason is not displaying any of the terminals or KDS units in Control Panel.

All terminals and KDS controlers are functioning properly and have connectivity to the back office pc.

I have deleted and recreated the MDSHost file and it did not resolve the issue. The Windows Host file also looks fine. The option to display all nodes in control panel is selected. All devices can ping.

Anyone have any suggestions for further troubleshooting.

Regards

firewall on? Check the gateway, subnet mask & DNS of the network card.

Looks like this one was the result of the Windows machine name not matching the machine name in POS CFG.

cool. Another place to check (especially if devices get renamed often) is c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc .

there is the Windows hosts file here, to create a new one delete it, then in configurator change a device ip\name then save it. You get a prompt no hosts file exists, create a new one Yes/No.
