Can anyone explain how to use the Micros CAL. I have a server running the CALSRV.exe and I have tried to run McrsCal.exe on the WS4, but it doesn't seem to do any update.

Can you tell me which folder on the server is used to update the workstation.

I am trying to use CAL to push a couple of files out to the WS4.

I don't have the documentation, and no on responded to my post asking for it.

Thank you in advance.

Is there anyone out there that could give me some help with Micros?

Thanks!

Hey mate.
CAL stands for Client Application Loader and is used in Client Server operations to deliver the applications and also database.
In E7 you do not need a server, so unless you have a PC setup for the server, you will not use CAL at all.
Cheers

Thanks for the reply, but as my initial post says, I am running a server with the E7 and it says I am trying to push a copule of files out to the WS4's, so I am still looking for any direction anyone can give me on how to use the Client Application Loader.

ie. Do I need to run an executable on the WS4 or the XP Server, or should they run automatically?

If I want to copy a folder or files down to the workstation from the server, what is the specific folder that I put it in?

I have tried to create some "dummy" folders underneath several of the different folders under \Program Files\Micros on the server, but none of the folders seem to get replicated to the workstations. I have tried to run the MCRSCAL.exe on the WS4 but it isn't getting the files.

Thanks in advance.
