Micros Beverage Transaction Log

Looking for some general information or direction in solving the following... I'm new to Micros but have been doing my best to sort through the wealth of information on this forum.

I'm working with friend who wants to set track drink purchases in his restaurant. He only wants to know about beer purchases, and i would like to access the information externally to Micros RES. Can anyone give me some information on where to start looking at database for transactions related to beverages?

Do you want this during the day or are you looking for daily totals after the day closes.

Ideally during the day. I'd like to poll the database at some predefined interval and retrieve a list of beverage (like a tap number or beer type, whatever) versus time ordered.

Any thoughts Mike, or anyone else? I'm working on getting a system to play with, but some info on where to start would help a ton!
