Hey everyone,

just set up a new workstation 610, running micros 5.5
The bar printer seems to be printing it's own chits when a drink is punched in from the bar. Previously on our workstation 4, res 3.2 set up, when the bartender orders a drink from their own bar workstation it knows not to send the drink anywhere because the bartender is going to make that drink and knows that the drink is as they just punched it in.

The printer is working fine in all other areas of receiving drink orders from the other 3 610 workstations.

Anyone know where the setting is to tell it not to print it's own drink orders?

cheers!

This is a Setting in the Print Class (Local Order Bon), or you have a Orderdevice Linkt to this Printer and this is enebled on the Workstation.

If you don't know, send a Screenshot from you Orderdevices, Printclass and Workstation (Orderdevices).

Best Regards

I was able to fix it with a workaround from WildBar. Setting up a secondary class instead of dining, we created "bar" and set the order devices to everything except for bar. This fixed the issue, and now on our reports we have two seperate dining classes, which is fine as you can now see the floor sales vs bar sales daily.

thanks!

This workaround is for a bug in 5.5 MR3 where changing the order device on a workstation has no effect.

It did have some effect. If someone orders from a server terminal, then someone orders from a bar terminal, because the order types are different on each. When they try to combine those bills for whatever reason, like someone wants to buy that guy over there his dinner etc. It wouldn't allow them to join the bills together as one, because "cannot combine different order types".

So the bar no longer prints it's own chits for orders they are making themselves, but there is small problem if the bartender and a server try to combine existing bills together. Not sure which one is worse to have.

If anyone figures out how I can not have the bar printer print the bar workstation chits (not customer receipts, but orders) i would be very grateful.

cheers
