Hi all,

I'm assisting an operations manager with a chain of both Micros and Aloha installations. He's asked me to assist him to set up EOD sales reports for his sales and inventory tracking. He'd like to automate this so he can access the CSV files every single day without burdening any of the staff to manually email.

We understand that we need to set up Aloha/Micros reporting and then configure the EOD batch file (winhooks). But how can we automate AND GUARANTEE the receipt of the files?

We're open but potential solutions would be to use Dropbox, email, ftp - but an Aloha engineer themselves mentioned that firewalls could block these sorts of scripts.

I've read the site and seen mention of c2it and avero. How do they capture the reports? And please, not looking to spend any money, just a simple way to receive the csv.

Anyone done this or seen documentation? Appreciate all the help!

Thanks!

I use this program and a Gmail account

I also use this command to get Aloha to create the report

%IBERDIR%\BIN\RPT.EXE /DATE %1 /XC /LOAD "dsr.sls.set”

My report is called dsr and I do not have ythe over/under or it will not work.
I then use tasks to run the batch file that makes this all work.

Blat is very very useful. I use it as well, but not for reports.

However, if you are sending it to an outside email address I would zip it up first and then email it. (Encrypt the zip file with a password).
