There is a custom tender that accepts the swipe of a loyalty card, but each time the server clicks on the button it requires a manager's permission. Is there a way to setup the tender so that it doesn't require the manager's permission?

I tried by changing the Privilege Group Level to one that was similar to Visa/Amex, but that didn't change anything.

Usually there is a configuration file where these settings are made. What is the name of the loyalty program you are using?

Microslady is correct, if it isn't fixed via the Tender Media settings, then it could be a configuration on the Loyalty cards side.

Another things that can be checked is to create a test Cashier/Server card and try the Loyalty card. See if it requires the managers card, if it does, move that account to a Manager position and try again. If the case is that it works under the Managers position, but doesn't under the Cashier/Server position then check the settings of the Cashier/Server position.

Select the Position in question, then go to the Transaction Tab > Tenders Options. Check the Authorize/Perform Positing of Tender/Media in Priv Group X. Make sure this matches with the Manager Position. Keep in mind this will also disable any Manager Overrides you have in place and will not longer require a Manager's override.
