I need to find out what each of the numbers mean in the "DetailType" column in database table microsdb.check_detail.

Micros 9700 - Need info about microsdb.check_detail

I'm not really familiar with the 9700, but these are the detail type values for the 3700, maybe yours are similar:
D - Discount/Service Charge
T - TMED
C - CC Auth
V - Voucher
M - Menu Item
R - Reference
N - Null
Also, take a look and see if there's either a pre-made domain report, or a domain config table in the database. Micros has always included them with the 3700 to detail the custom datatypes and hopefully they've added them to the 9700 now that it's using SQL.
