Noticed 5.5 is requiring a client trust code to be entered and injected to the database at install. I havent read any documentation yet, but I suppose this is just 3rd party security measures. Thoughts?
Looks like this Client Trust is a new feature related to tightening security around configuring clients that attach to the host server, which makes good sense. you can configure the server to not just allow any Micros client to attach and take over a client allocation (like anyone who knows a little bit about how to run CAL could highjack one of your POS client locations if you were not paying close enough attention).
Also noted 5.5 added support for Win10 (my experience is that Win10 client side is fine, but not server side).
"no upgrade path from 5.4.4" wondering if that is that 5.4 MR4 ?!?!
Also WS4 is now officially explicitly completely unsupported.
