Hello,

I've been using this forum a great deal to figure out how to program everything in Micros, helping start a new business. I tried to add a button onto the touchscreen and i got the "no space for keys on SLU" programming error. In order to avoid another fiasco like this, is there an option to revert to a previous build? Like a previous save. It's frustrating because I don't know until I reboot and it automatically saves so I can't revert back, any help is appreciated, thanks.

Nope, once you've save your changes they're saved; there aren't any previous versions. You can make a backup of the database before you start working and restore it if necessary, but that's not something you can do on a live system.

The best thing you can do is get a test system together, especially if you're still learning. I've been programming Micros 3700 systems for 14 years and still try most changes out on my test server before bringing them live. It's pretty easy for the 3700. The installation software should have come with the software key. If not your Micros dealer will probably give you a copy; it's the licensing they sell, not the software. You can load it in demo mode on any XP or 2003 computer. Once you've got it done just restore a backup from the live system, change the IP and Computer Name in the Network Nodes setup and you'll have a test database to mess around with.
