I have a situation that I can't find the best way to put together. I have an Menu Iten that may or may not add extra egg.

In order for the Egg to be shown as part of the menu item both in the POS and in the order chit, the egg was placed as a condiment, but the egg must indicate the type of preparation, that is, "Soft, fried, etc ... "

I have a condiment group called egg preparation and it includes these modifiers but by leaving the egg as a condiment I can no longer assign it. If the egg is configured as a menu item and not as a condiment I can add the preparation condiment group as a required condiment but it is not visibly as part of the main dish.

How about using Condiment Groups? MICROS 3700 is so much fun to set up? You could set up the item as follows:

ITEM:
Condiment Group: Mystery Egg: Then add the Egg Preparation MOD and another mode for Extra Egg in the new group.

It limits me a little to do so because apart from the egg there are other condiments that can be added such as chicken, sauce, among others.

Sure - in that case I'd make a special condiment group for that wierd item and link the other condiment lists on it... Isn't Micros programming fun!
