Micros 3700 SLU Invalid Entry Error

I created a menu item named it subs and gave it a slu of subs.

Made template and name first button subs. I then placed all menu items that fell under subs to be created when the subs button is pushed.

It creates a screen and places everything appropriately to the new window.

When I hit one of the newly created buttons lo ked to a man item I get an error message that says invalid entry.

The original owner did not use a single slu and I am wondering if there is a bug or flaw and manually creating ever single button was just his work around.

OR... Am I doing something wrong?

Build is 3.2.25.545. No credit card transaction being used s

I would say your doing something wrong. Possibly your menu item is not set up properly? Or your SLU screen style?

Can anyone describe the menu item setting needed for setting up slu menus.

Maybe i am approaching generating menu screens incorrectly?

I am manually creating the initial main menu screen which I broke down into basic group buttons. Subs, burgers, pizza, drinks, side orders, etc..

Every menu item i gave a matching slu to be generated upon the touch of that button and made a template screen used by all. Out of those items I generate a condiment screen automatically generated as well based on the me u item and a optional mods screen button for special I structures and so forth.

So other than the initial order screen I am trying to make every menu screen automatically generated between slu and condiments.
