Micros 3700 - RES 5.2 - Check No Longer Owned By This UWS + Loading Screen Keeps Appearing

Hi Guys,

We have a Windows 7 PC that is running RES 3700 v5.2, it is behaving strangely, it keeps coming up with the loading screen and every now and then when paying of a check we see the message 'Check no longer owned by this UWS'. (Error screen shot has been attached) the thing is, this is the only machine within this particular Revenue Centre, so nothing else should be taking hold of the check...

Any Ideas?

You are running this on a Win32 workstation. PosReady, server or some other pc.

This will happen if there is more than one instance of Ops.exe running at the same time.
Open up the task manager. Click the processes tab and look for Ops.exe If there is more than one running this happens.

The only way more than one instance will launch is if more than one user is logged into the computer at the same time. Ie. Using the windows switch user function or someone is connected via remote desktop.

Thanks for your comment, it is a Win7 PC that is in question.

The strange thing is, only one user is ever logged into this PC, and we have other PC's that do not keep popping up the loading screen mid transaction. There is no RDP sessions ever created to this PC.

I have also tried to run multiple copied of OPS.exe, but it will only ever allow one instance to be open, so can't quite figure out what could be causing the issues...?

Well the next time you see the error just check the task manager process list before doing anything else.
