Micros 3700 reprint closed check WITHOUT reopening

I have an ongoing challenge of access vs functionality with Micros.

Our staff needs to be able to reprint checks after they are closed, for accounting purposes, regain a signature etc. However they do not need to be able to have access to edit the closed check, remove items, change tender, etc. The access to this has been abused and causes our accounting dept huge headaches.

So here is my question. Is there a way to allow the users to reprint a closed check without opening the closed check. I have searched all thru the configurator and the touchscreen creator and cannot find the option. I thought I had it when I found the two check boxes of "reopen closed check" and "reopen closed check for discounting" but they can still discount without the later checked.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Function: Check Access - Edit Closed Check (or with Table)

Do This with a Nextscreen with only a Reprint Tender and a Cancle Button. You wont be able to change anything else.
Employee Class Guestcheck Controll Reopen closed check has to be checked.



This key opens a closed check and allows a privileged employee to correct the following:

· payment method

· charged tip

· tax exemption status

· auto service charge

· cover count

· guest check ID
