I'm in a similar situation. I have Micros 3700 Res 5. The POS is currently setup to automatically update the seat number with each food item selected (which gets problematic when seat 1 gets "Caesar Salad" and Seat 2 gets "Add Chicken".
I know how to disable this option, though it may be related to what I need to do. I have a "Course and Seat" menu available for my servers to choose which seat to add the next food item to. I'd like to change that to a <Seat #> button that I see in chapter 4-18 in the "3700 user guide" manual that will advance to the next seat once they are done adding dishes to the current seat.
I can't find out how to change my <course & seat> button to a <seat #> button. Please help?
Example: Two guests order a garden salad with chicken, and fish tacos.
Currently:
Open a table
Garden Salad (seat 1)
[to stay on seat one, the server then has to click <course & seat>, click <seat 1>, then click <previous screen> and then finally:]
Add Chicken (seat 1)
[the computer will then auto advance to seat 2 with the next meal for seat 2]
Fish Tacos (seat 2)
<send order>
What I want to do in this example is:
Open a table
Garden Salad (seat 1)
Add Chicken (seat 1)
[Click <seat #>]
Fish Tacos (seat 2)
<send order>
