Micros 3700, need help getting pole display working correctly 1

I have a Mircros 3700, WS4 monitor with server and printers, etc.
The Pol Display that came with the system, shows just # signs after entering data on the terminal.
The Display is hooked up directly to the back of the POS terminal.

Are you talking about the Customer Display?

I beleve they also refer to it as the rear Customer Display. It's a foot high, , maybe 10" x 2". Can displace 2 lines of text. thanks

In configurator goto devices\workstations and see what you have for peripherals for this device. Check the BAUD + parity rates for the device. Start with 9600,8,none,1 with HW flow control.

Tabs are Breyer out and won't let me change anything. Utilities to test the display are on the workstation, not the server. Loopback tests are all ok for the workstation ports. Still get checksum errors and # signs.
