Hi, I hope someone can shed a little light on the following issue.

On our site we have a handful of tills all using Micros 3700. After having a tip off from a member of staff I can see that certain members of staff are exploiting the system to get drinks dispensed and not show up on the customers check, leading to lost revenue.

From what I can see on the journals, the same open check is being accessed from two tills at the same time so that drinks and possibly food are getting dispensed but then it is not printing on the customers check so not being charged but does go to the journal.

I would like to know is there a way to stop a check from being access by two people at the same time?
I would also like to know if there is a report or an easy way to see what has been printed to the journal but not gone to a check or voided off?

Any help will be appreciated.

If you enforce a policy of "no chit no sh$#" as in bartenders and kitchen employees only make what there is an order chit for and enforce a policy that only managers can void items from bills you should be fine. As long as the managers are not in on it. You should also set the option bit that employees can only pick up the bills they have started. Typically managers have the ability to pick up anyone's bill. Look under "Employee Classes", "Guest Check Control" "Pick Up Check Open on System
