Restaurant with a main dining room as well as a roof patio. They have essentially the same menu. I created a second SLU for each item...For example the chicken sandwich has an SLU of sandwiches as well as Roof sandwiches. This is less work and allows me to run an accurate count on food items. The only problem is I can run reports that allow me to see how many I;m selling downstairs vs. upstairs. Its all under the same group in reports. I just have a running total of chicken sandwiches. Any way I can do this without having to create a whole new menu item and family group? This will be a lot more work and will also not allow me to set accurate menu item availabilty counts. If I have 3 chicken sandwiches left their is no way to have an accurate count as they will be sold upstairs and downstairs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!

Creating a new revenue center would be the best approach if you want it really separate. Then you would have a 'Main Rest.' and 'Roof Rest.' revenue center; you could look at sales, labor, menu item sales, etc, by revenue center level to separate them, while still being able to see it on a System level as well so you can look at everything together.

Before you go forward with that though, you should really understand that revenue centers are like separate restaurants; only use them (at least in my opinion) if the two are truly separate. If you have servers working both locations at the same time, for example, I would recommend agaisnt it...

u might be able to modify your reports down to which terminal the "chicken sandwich" was rang up at.. its been a minute sense ive looked at transaction analyzer...
