MICROS 3700 Menu items and serving periods

Hi there!

User of MICROS 3700 RES with an interface with the PMS Opera.

I encounter issues with setting up menu items that would be transmitted as a specific serving period. I Wonder if that is even possible...

As an exemple, I wish to set up a menu combo for the meetings we organise at the property. The package that we sell is called "JE" and include:
- a coffee break in the morning
- a lunch buffet
- a coffee break in the afternoon

Each component is to be billed in a different serving period.

Does anyone knows a way to link a specific Menu item with a time period without changing manually the serving period while charging the package?

You can do this by assign a different menu item class for every menu item, and then assign a different sales itemizers to the class, this map on interfase opera configuration.
For example:

Coffe Break assign menu item class breakfast with sales itemizer #1
Lunch Buffet assign menu item class lunch with sales itemizaer #2
Coffe Break assign menu item class affternoon with sales itemizer #3

So in the interfase configuration in opera assign the specified transaction code for every position.
