Hi...so i have 4 KDS screens that were all working fine. We had a powersurge and the back light inverter for one KDS went out. So we purchased a new screen and set it up, plugged in the same wire and it will load the MICROS information but when a check comes in it will not allow you to bump it. It responds with Unknow USB Driver and asks for the name of the USB Driver...not sure what that is.

So I try and re-cal the screen and that doesn't work. I reboot the whole system and now I have a second KDS screen that will not allow touch to bump a check. Its like trying to touch a PC screen.

Help!! I called MICROS help desk and they don't know what they are talking about so they want to send out a hardware tech for billable hours but I know this is a software problem.

Thanks!

Are you talking bumpbar or touchscreen?
If touchscreen make sure the touchsreen driver is installed. Its not something that installs with CAL. Its hardware.
Go into the hardware devices and maybe try uninstalling the current touch driver and reboot and it should find the touchscreen and install the correct driver.
You can also find the make of the touchscreen and find the driver/software on the web.
Quite often the ELO universal driver will work.
Hope this helps a bit.
