Hi! We are running 3700. We would like to be able to add gratuity to a large party check, then split said check into smaller checks and have the gratuity split accordingly. I am not new to Micros but am new to the back of house programming, so I may need some help with things that come easily to most of you. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

The only type of gratuity you can do this with in 3700 is the automatic gratuity. To set which gratuity to treat this way (one per revenue centers), go to POS Configurator -> Revenue Center -> RVC Discount/Service, and use the dropdown to select which service charge you want to use. Once you do this the service charge will no longer be a line item on the check detail and will instead show with the summary information:

You will auto need to create an exempt auto service charge button to be able to remove it once it has been applied.

Then under employee class, anyone who can remove the service charger after applying it needs to have "Exempt auto service chg" checked under Transactions, Transaction Control (wouldn't it be nice if Micros was consistent about what category they consider something?).
