Micros 3700 EOD takes an hour to finish

hi mates. newbie here!
i had problem about EOD procedures.
i took 3 hours to finished. i think the generating of backup is the cause of this problem. it generates 2GB+ MBZ5 Backup every EOD and it includes all transaction data since the day that it was installed.
my question. is there a way to generate daily backup for the current day only? or monthly for the whole month backup?

i will appreciate any tips and suggestions.

You want to run a daily back up. It does take a while to back it up and then validate it but should not take that long.
We have large databases and a back up completes between 15 and 45 minutes. Log in the log and make sure nothing is getting hung up during the process (you dont have 2 or more autosequence steps running at the same time. Log in the log for each step to start then complete before the next step starts) You can also do a database rebuild to reduce the database size. We do one every 6 months. Lastly it could be limitations with your hardware. Make sure your computer is at least the minimum spec for the version of software you are running (sounds like micros) and no other programs are running on that computer.
