Micros 3700 End of Day does not complete, followed by error that current date does not match business date. Then workstation (Micros Eclipse) shows PCWS Journal print path not found sending to backup.

please help.

It sounds like you have a couple of unrelated problems going on at the same time.

The EON problem

You'll have to figure out what step in your EOD is failing. Either watch it run and see which step errors, or look in the 3700d log to find it.

My first guess is that there's a step at the beginning of your EOD that looks for either open checks or clocked in employees, finds one of these conditions and is stopping the autosequence.

The journal printing problem

It sounds like there's a problem with your device setup.
Open the configurator and go to the Devices tab, User Workstations button.
Click on the workstation with the Journal Printer error and go to the Printers tab.
Look for the Journal Printer box and write down the device that's selected. It will be in the right column towards the bottom.
Click on the folder icon next to the Time Card Printer to open the Devices screen.
Find the device that's being used for the Journal printer, click on it and check the settings.
General Tab
Device Type - Disk File
Network Node - this should be set to your server
Printer Definition tab
Print To Disk Filename - path to the journal file

I always use something like ..\journals\bar.txt as the path. This will put the journal file in the \Micros\Res\Pos\Journals folder on your server. That path should be installed by default, but if it isn't you can create it through windows explorer. Make sure that all users have at least Read/Write/Modify privileges to that folder and all files inside.
