Micros 3700 Encryption Initalization Failed

Hi,

Just trying to replace an old workstation with a new one, when I re-CAL the workstation all files transfer correctly but when I run ops I get the error message 'Encryption Initalization Failed' can anyone suggest anything?

That's weird. I just loaded a new LX workstation on my test system and got the same message. Trying to figure it out now.

We see that for a lot of reasons.

1) If the name of the server in micros.lan_node_def (or just network nodes in pos config) isn't correct

2) If the IP address configured for the server isn't correct

3) If the C:\windows\system32\driverts\etc\hosts file has artifacts (seems to happen a lot in RES 5)

4) If the workstation has more than one NIC, the one you aren't using MUST be disabled (especially important with mTablets)


Those are the common culprits. Any luck?
