Micros 3700 - Discount Report Question

System: Micros 3700

Ok, I figured out the discount and added "Reference Required," but the two reports (I am aware of) which are:

- Daily Revenue Center Discount Detail
- Daily Revenue Center Discount Summary

Does NOT show what is typed in under "Reference Required." Is there another report (somewhere under Reports Templates maybe?) that also shows the reference required entry?

Many POS systems allow the info prompt so you can type in info BUT many don't have any reporting feature that allows you to track the details servers actually input so you must rely on printed dupes, guest checks etc. and then you manually figure it out. Check what capabilities you have in "audit" style reports re: discounts or servers. To me; audit reports are mainly a time sequential list of every item, every keystroke the POS operator uses. Audit style reports will often have the details servers input. I wouldn't suggest a POS w/o that ability because it's a sure way to know exactly what is happening vs. employee stories. Even more important if the POS is not interfaced to your camera system.

You can make a quick custom report in Transaction Analyzer and include the reference information, then save it. You can then link it to your end of night and run it as an auto-sequence.
