Micros 3700, customer order workstation is dead.

The customer order display terminal dead.The Terminal hard drive crashed. I don't have any back up. Installed the new hard drive with win2000 pro but don't know how to bring back all the micros info. Please help.

What version are you running? On Win2k would be RES3.2 or RES3000.

Step 1 Rename the computer to what it is in the DEVICE table in Configurator
Step 2 Set the IP address as it is in Configurator
Step 3 is to share the Micros NETSETUP directory on the server (should be already)
Step 4 is to create a MAPPED PATH \ DRIVE to the NETSETUP share.
Step 5 is to navigate to the Netsetup directory and run NETSETUP.EXE.

It is like the forerunner of CAL and downloads the software.

Its RES3700 system. In server where is the NETSETUP? is it under Micros/bin directory?

sorry it is res3000 and I ran the netsetup but the KDS station is not working. When I click on the touchscreen icon, its say COM2 device is not installed. Under the device manager COM2 shows its working but in touchscreen propertied the hardware tab shows the hardware is not installed. Please help.

I am able to run the KDS terminal now. Only problem is left the touch screen is not working. Please help.

Netsetup is somewhere like:

c:\Program files\Micros\RES\Netsetup\Netsetup.exe
