MICROS 3700 Cover counts

Is there a way to record cover counts in the bar revenue center? My breakfast and lunch servers can record this, however the bartender (acting as a server and bartender) cannot.

Most likely ua using fast transaction ...you can enable guest entry reqredor the employee class entry required

From the Micros help you have 4 ways to track cover counts apart from the automatic prompt when you begin a table.

Tracking Covers

The number of covers (guests) can be counted in any of several ways:

· Seat Count

The number of seats entered is used as the cover count.
RVC Seats | Use seat count for cover count

· Service Charge

A service charge can be programmed to add to the covers count each time it is posted. For example, a nightclub that uses a cover charge for each guest might use this method.
Discounts/Service Charges | Service Charges | Post to cover count

· Menu Item

The members of a Menu Item Class can be programmed to add to the cover count each time they are posted. For example, some restaurants only consider the sale of an entree as a cover count.
Menu Item Classes | Price/Totals | Add to cover count

· Manual Entry

The employee can enter the cover count using the [Number of Covers] key. If this key is pressed during a transaction, other methods of adding to the cover count are disabled. The employee is then responsible for making any changes to the covers count that are required.
