I manage a bar using Micro RES 3700 version 5.2, and I'm trying to generate an inventory report of how much of each liquor is sold each week. Each liquor has its own menu item, and you can add condiments of shot, rocks and neat, which affect the price as well as the amount of liquor poured. To get an accurate count of the amount sold, I need to know how many of each condiment was used for each liquor (i.e. [30 Jack Daniel, 10 shot, 6 rocks] [20 Jameson, 15 shot, 2 rocks] ), but the existing reports only give the total number of each condiment rung for the period (i.e. [30 Jack Daniel, 20 Jameson, 25 shot, 8 rocks] ).

I'm still trying to track down a copy of Crystal Reports so I can play with the reports (unless there's another way to make custom reports), but even if I find that, is this something that Micros tracks?

Thanks

You will need to modify the programming to use multi price levels or multiple menu items for the liquors to require the different condiments to get the reporting you are looking for.

I have also been trying to wrap my head around this one.
At a location of mine there are already price levels in place for multiple time-based price changes and I'm trying to get the same level of accountability as I had out of a location with price levels (which was super nice) without jumping through hoops.

Is there some form of a SQL script that actually ties the modifiers for the parent item?

For example, if I had a Makers and a Rocks upcharge and those two items were piped together I could have a unique id name Makers Rocks.
The same could be applied to Margarita modified as Top Shelf and Frozen to create a new item named Margarita Top Shelf Frozen.

This is the only way I have thought of approaching this and I have taken up trying to learn SQL basics but I'm definitely having a slow go when approaching the beast that is Micros.

Any other ideas as to how this could be approached without implementing new price levels?
