Micros 3700 check resend problem

Hello,i need some help with a micros system.
For example if i send an order food named "a" with check number "1"
And if guest complain about it,cand i resend to kitchen same food order without registering in system?i heard that is posible from someone.thanks and appreciate for help.[tt][/tt]
 
Even if you could, inventory wise it would be best to send the item a second time and comp the first one. That way you show 2 sold but only revenue for 1. If you resend the same item, your counts would be off.
 
So is not posible how i want it?or any way to send the check to the kitchen without creating a new tab ?[tt][/tt]
 
The way to do that in Micros is with the "Return" button and then ringing the item again. If the kitchen/bar has already sent the new item out to the guest, prep it with "don't make".

It's similar to voiding an item in that it removes the charge from the check. Using the Void button returns the item to inventory, as if it was never rung in. The return button is used when an item is prepped as served, but returned to the kitch to be remade.
 
Pmegan thank you for reply but Im afraid i dont have that button,i have looked for it and is not . Some one did this think before but i can not find that person to ask,he took a closed check,and with the check number he did something and reorder it only in kitchen without posting on system....
 
You can create a Return button if you'd like to, it's pretty easy.
In the POS Configurator open the Touchscreen Designer under the Devices tab.

[li]Select the screen where you're going to put the Return button. Most often it's on the Function or Payments screen.[/li]
[li]Move buttons around if needed to make room for the Return button, then click the blue plus sign to add a new button. It will appear in the top left corner, so just drag it to where you want it.[/li]

[li]Legend - Return Item[/li]
[li]Category - Function: Transaction[/li]
[li]Function - Return[/li]
[/ul]
[li]Set the font and color to whatever you want and you're done.[/li]

As far as somebody resending a closed check to the kitchen, I don't know of any way in Micros to do that without entering the menu item again. Is it possible this person reopened the check, sent the menu item to the kitchen and then voided it? Personally I really don't like the Reopen Closed Check function, it doesn't work well IMO, and I've spent more time figuring out mistakes on reopened checks than any other single issue.

You should take a look at your employee classes, find out who has the ability to reopen checks, and cut it down to just managers at the most. You can see this in the Configurator - Employees tab - Employee Classes button - Guest Check Control tab.
