Looking for any help anyone has as our MICROS Dealer has been less than helpful.

I have two PC based MICROS 3700 CAL that are taking over 30 seconds to Authorize Credit Cards.

One is Windows 7 PRO and one is Windows 10... but the really odd thing is that we have two identical PC's set up exactly the same - one works perfectly the other is delayed. The W10 machine just recently started acting up.

I repaired the CAL installation and that did not do the trick. Anyone else encounter this scenario out there?

Sincerely,

Matthew Clements

1st Verify the workstation IP addresses and computer names against the POS Configurator?

2nd micros/common/bin
rename mdshost.xml to OLDmdshost.xml
rename mdsprinters.xml to OLDmdsprinters.xml

reload db via micros control panel

manually copy the new mdshost/mdsprinter files to the appropriate Cal ETC folders
Enjoy

Agree with 15yrs, but is very important that after you rename the mds files run your configurator as Administrator and in the network done just put one character at the end of the Micros server name delete save upload mdshost and then reload DB. A restart of the server will be great as well.

I assume Windows 7 Pro is fast and the Windows 10 is slow.

It has nothing to do with Micros 3700 IT IS WINDOWS 10. This situation is worldwide with any application on windows 10.
also same situation with Fidelio 30-60% Slower after 1803 Windows 10 update....

Change Back to Windows 7 Pro or change the HD to a SSD with Windows 10.

We only have one W10P and it started having the slow CC processing about a month ago. We have a W7Pro that was behaving in that way for a while.

Thanks for the tips I really appreciate the assistance!

Turns out that the Static IP addresses in those two W/S reverted to DHCP ... how MICROS kept working was pretty wild. However, once restoring the Static IPs the print/credit card verification issue was resolved.
