The restaurant I work for is having their 1 year anniversary tomorrow and we are running an all day special for 20% off every check. It's madness. My initial thought on how to make this discount possible was to just add a new discount button preset for 20%, BUUUUUT I forgot you need a card authorization for it. Is there make it that only this discount does not need authorization? If not, what would be the best option for dropping the prices on every menu item 20% without manually going through each item, doing the math, then adjusting the price.

I understand that I could just use the discount button with the authorization but I feel my micros card will melt before the day is over.

Any help in this matter will be greatly appreciated.

You'd probably need to set the discount privilege level to 0 to avoid a second auth swipe.

Alternately, you might be able to set it up as an automatic discount to avoid having to think about it. Start date tomorrow, end date tomorrow, blanket 20%, time period 24 hours. Quantity Threshold 1? That way you can reuse it in the future if it happens annually by just changing the effective dates.

Where might I be able to set up the automatic discount? And is it possible to set the discount up for only certain revenue centers? i.e. "Restaurant Down", "Bar Down
