Hello!
We would like to create a product to sell at one price (single button) that is the combination of two menu items that roll up into two separate Major Groups.. sell it at one price real quick, but have the price be split out to the correct Major groups for reporting purposes.
Imagine you have a pizza slice and a beer combo. One price, yet you need to put the food portion of revenue into one Major Group and the alcohol portion into a different Major Group so that when reporting totals, the revenue gets split out appropriately. Not sure how to achieve that in Micros 3700 system. Any ideas? was thinking we could use the Combo functionality but I don't know how to set that up as described.

Don't remember off hand if 3700 has the same Class/Condiment groups as Micros 9700. What I would use a Main Item (Pizza and Beer Cmbo) that has a Class with required Condiments (Pizza Slice, Beer).

For instance, The Item that is rung up is 'Pizza & Beer Combo'. This item has a class that has 2 Required condiments.
The Condiments are Pizza and Beer menu Items. I would make the Main Item have no price, and the Condiment Items have their price. This way the Major/Family Groups the other items are in get the revenue.

Hosehead that's the only way we have found to do it. Please keep in mind it makes taxes messy if you are in a city with different tax rates for booze/food.
